Narasirato are proud to release their first CD Naratana Hiona (Cry of the Ancestors). This seventeen track CD features the haunting traditional music of the Aré Aré people and follows an evolution of the music through to their uplifting and danceable contemporary music. This recording also features the unique auni marko hitting tubes, soaring vocals, virtuosic pan pipe playing, drums, percussion, thong-o-phones and delicious island vocal harmonies.
Each CD purchase will contribute towards the building of a Culture House in the Narasirato home village of Oterama in the Solomon Islands.
