The recording of Naratana Hiona was generously supported by:

  • Yoshi and Derya Sato, with the generous loan of their generator during the Oterama recording sessions. Thank you
  • Peter Grandison, who donated skills and time at his Shanghai Twang recording studio to mix and master the recording

As a result of this project, four suitcases of books have been collected and presented to a delighted school headmaster and his students.

Our aspiration is just to revive and maintain our culture, assist our youth, address poverty alleviation and life sustenance in the rural Are'are.

Committee members (President) and are working together with both Oterama Village committee and Honiara members to support the pursuits and plans of the Narasirato musicians.

Mr. Isaac Houmawai (from Palasu'u village on South Malaita), the founder of Au Rokoau (contemporary panpipe); Mr. Mathew Houaisuta, the founder of Narasirato Are'are Panpipe Cultural Association in 1991 in Honiara; the wonderful people of Oterama village for their support of the ensemble and for taking loving care of Mr. Peter Keelan at their beautiful Oterama village; Mr. John Bosco Houanihau, the president of the ensemble's committee for his tireless support for the group; and Mr. John and Mrs. Matilda Maneniaru as committee members and for providing accommodation and logistics for the ensemble.
